A Memorable Reunion

Last weekend’s Waterbomb Singapore was a treat for 2NE1’s fans, Blackjacks, as Sandara Park and Lee Chae-rin, known as Dara and CL respectively, reunited offstage. The music and water festival, held on August 24 and 25, saw memorable performances from both artists on separate days.

Unexpected Encounter

The reunion took an even more personal turn when CL, 33, shared an Instagram story on August 25, featuring Dara, 39, at the Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa Hotel. In the video, Dara can be heard saying, “I didn’t know you’d come next door,” to which CL responded with laughter behind the camera. Dara later reposted the heartwarming clip, calling CL her “neighbor.”

A Sing-Along to 2NE1’s Hits

During the festival, Dara was spotted by fans at Siloso Beach, enjoying CL’s performance on Sunday. CL delighted the audience by performing some of 2NE1’s most iconic hits, including “Fire,” “I Don’t Care,” and “I Am The Best.” Before starting her set, CL gave a shout-out to Dara, who was seen singing along to “I Am The Best.”

In a post on Instagram, Dara shared a selfie taken with CL in Singapore and a photograph of her holding a banner supporting CL. The emotional reunion holds extra significance as 2NE1, which includes members Minzy and Park Bom, is gearing up for a world tour to mark their 15th anniversary. Despite disbanding in 2016, 2NE1’s legacy endures, with tours planned to kick off in Seoul in October, followed by performances in Japan in November and December.
