A Unique First Encounter
In a recent interview and pictorial, popular South Korean actors Shin Hyun Been and Moon Sang Min candidly shared insights about their first meeting. In a light-hearted recount, Shin recalled, “Last summer, I sat close to Sang Min, just like we are now, and we talked. But he didn’t make eye contact while speaking. I wondered if he was shy; and jokingly asked if he could work with me.” Adding to the humor, she mentioned that Sang Min surprised her with a bouquet, albeit with a playful twist; the card attached had absolutely nothing inside!
The Awkwardness of First Impressions
Reflecting on the same encounter, Moon Sang Min shared his perspective, stating, “I chose a modest bouquet because a large one would be overwhelming. The card didn’t have any special meaning; I’m just glad it made her laugh.” He expressed his own awkwardness during their first meeting, admitting that seeing Shin Hyun Been on screen often had made the in-person interaction a tad embarrassing.
Building a Trusting Relationship
As they continued to work together, their initial awkwardness faded, and they began understanding each other more profoundly. Shin remarked how she values Moon Sang Min’s straightforwardness, mentioning, “He is honest and fun. It’s not easy to be completely genuine at work, but Sang Min has that quality. After filming several episodes, we became close, which was refreshing.” Likewise, Moon complimented Shin, recognizing her selflessness and thoughtfulness.
