Avianca’s New Direct Flights

Starting this spring, Avianca is set to enhance travel opportunities for U.S. tourists with the introduction of two new direct routes to Central America. Beginning on May 10, 2023, travelers will be able to fly daily from Miami International Airport (MIA) to Guatemala City (GUA). Alongside this route, Avianca will also initiate a new flight path from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) to Managua (MGA), Nicaragua.

Connecting the U.S. to Vibrant Destinations

“We are excited to launch this new direct route,” stated Rolando Damas, Avianca’s sales director for North America, Central America, Europe, and the Caribbean, in a recent statement. He emphasized the historical significance and biodiversity of Guatemala, describing it as a key destination in the region. With these new flights, Avianca is providing more than 2,500 additional seats between these destinations, making travel more accessible than ever.

Commitment to Expanding Travel Options

The announcement of the new routes comes shortly after Avianca unveiled additional itineraries earlier this year, including new flights from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport to Bogotá. Damas reiterated Avianca’s commitment to strengthening its network and offering diverse travel options. In addition, starting March 30, new routes linking Tampa (TPA) to Bogotá (BOG) and Medellín (MDE), as well as routes from San José, Costa Rica to Miami, will also be available.
