The story centers on Kunimi Asuka, portrayed by Non, whose life was drastically altered by her father, a prodigious shogi player. Asuka’s early years were filled with happiness and peace until her father abruptly abandoned her and her mother. Following her mother’s death due to illness, Asuka was left alone, harboring deep resentment when she witnessed her father rise to fame in the shogi world. Fueled by a desire for revenge, an unexpected event draws her into the competitive world of shogi, where she sets her sights on becoming the first female shogi player to make history.

Previously announced main cast members include Fujiki Naohito, Kurashina Kana, and Nakamura Shido. The newly revealed supporting actors are Okunuki Kaoru, Mori Shoot (BUDDiiS), Narumi Yui, Nishioka Tokuma, and Yamaguchi Sayaka, adding fresh faces to the already impressive lineup.

MISS KING will be streamed in eight episodes, airing every Monday at 8 PM JST on Abema SPECIAL, starting from September 29. With its compelling storyline and strong cast, the series is expected to captivate audiences and shed light on the challenging journey of breaking barriers in the traditionally male-dominated world of shogi.
