Set in the historical town of Thung Yai, My Sassy Wedding is a romantic comedy full of unexpected twists, political intrigue, and heartfelt growth.
When Lord Khun Ek is summoned to temporarily ordain as a monk to honor the late noblewoman, his father lies that he’s already married—to avoid jeopardizing his role in a top-secret mission to purchase firearms from foreigners to protect the town from an impending attack.
In a twist of fate, he meets Khamduang, a tough and outspoken buffalo herder girl from the Northeast who comes to deliver cattle. He hires her to play the role of his wife in exchange for a large reward and a rare golden ginseng, which she needs to cure her ailing father.
As she tries to adapt from a rural girl to a noble lady, Khun Ek and Khamduang find themselves entangled in political games, threats from bandits, and emotional confusion—especially when Khun Ek’s ex-lover Yi Sun returns to the scene.
What begins as a staged marriage slowly blossoms into genuine love amid danger, deception, and duty. Will their hearts stay aligned once the mission is complete?
