At the heart of the story is Yajima Risa (played by Igeta Hiroe), a 29-year-old employee at a life insurance company. On the surface, her life appears stable, but beneath it, her three-year marriage is starting to crumble under the pressure of fertility treatments. Her world changes when she encounters Jouchi Ryo (Toyoda Yudai), a charming private gym owner who is quietly suffering from domestic abuse at the hands of his wife.
Moved by Ryo’s situation, Risa initially hopes to help him—but their connection takes a complicated turn as they fall into a forbidden relationship. What begins as sympathy quickly spirals into a desperate, hopeless affair, forcing Risa to confront the emotional and moral consequences of her choices.
“Soko kara Saki wa Jigoku” premieres on October 7 and will air every Tuesday at 24:24 on NTV, promising a provocative and emotionally charged look into the darkness that can lurk behind seemingly ordinary relationships.
