The upcoming WOWOW drama “Kitakata Kenzo Suikoden”, starring Oda Yuji, has confirmed the addition of Mitsushima Shinnosuke and Haru to its cast.
Adapted from Kitakata Kenzo’s monumental novel “Suikoden” (Water Margin), the series is set in 12th-century China during the late Northern Song Dynasty, portraying a group of outcasts who rise to challenge a corrupt regime.

Oda Yuji plays Soko (Song Jiang), a low-ranking official disillusioned by injustice who pens a reformist manifesto titled “Taitengyodo” (Acting Heaven’s Way), setting in motion a movement to reshape society.
Mitsushima Shinnosuke takes on the role of Yoshi (Yang Zhi), the warrior known as “Green Face Hand”, while Haru plays his devoted wife Saijinbi.
Previously announced cast members include Sorimachi Takashi as Chao Gai (Qiao Gai) and Kamenashi Kazuya as Rin Cho (Lin Chong), further heightening anticipation for this large-scale historical adaptation.
“Kitakata Kenzo Suikoden” is set to premiere on WOWOW starting February 15, 2026.
