According to a recent report by Josei Seven, actor and singer Kamenashi Kazuya (39) and announcer Tanaka Minami (38) have ended their relationship.
The two were first revealed to be dating on January 1 of last year, with multiple outlets at the time suggesting that the couple was even considering marriage. Their relationship had attracted significant attention, as both are well-known figures in the Japanese entertainment industry.
However, sources close to the pair now claim that their relationship has come to an end. An acquaintance of Kamenashi reportedly told Josei Seven:
“Maybe Tanaka was feeling anxious about turning 40. Kamenashi has a wide circle of friends, including people outside the entertainment industry, and he often went out drinking. He would go out with friends and sometimes even drink alone, and gradually Tanaka began to act in a way that restricted him.”
According to the same source, Kamenashi initially accepted Tanaka’s concern, but small frustrations began to build up over time, eventually creating a rift between the two.
While neither side has officially commented on the breakup, fans have expressed mixed reactions—some expressing sadness over the end of what seemed like a strong relationship, while others wish both stars happiness as they move forward separately.
