Recently, Hannah Quinlivan appeared in a Xiaohongshu livestream to promote her own fashion brand — an unexpected move that quickly drew attention. Many were surprised: as the wife of pop icon Jay Chou, she seemingly has no financial worries. Yet, she still chose to step into the livestreaming arena herself.

The session, co-hosted with Melody, focused on Quinlivan’s niche clothing label. Despite having only around 20,000 followers on Xiaohongshu, she personally shot teaser videos and frequently shared outfit posts before the event. When the livestream began, thousands tuned in. Quinlivan chatted naturally with viewers, modeled the clothes, and explained the details herself. The result: sales exceeded 3 million RMB, placing her third on Xiaohongshu’s best-seller list.

Choosing Xiaohongshu was a smart move — its user base of young women perfectly matches her brand’s style. More importantly, the event sparked reflection: even after marrying a superstar, a woman can and should continue building her own career and identity.

Born in 1993 in Taiwan to an Australian father and a mother of mixed Chinese-Korean heritage, Quinlivan entered showbiz at 15 through a variety show. She later tried hosting and acting, met Jay Chou in 2010, and married him in 2015. They now share three children and a happy family life.

Despite her high-profile marriage, Quinlivan never retreated from the public eye. She keeps acting, appears in variety shows, and manages her own brand. As she once said, she wants to live passionately and work on her own terms — not just be known as “the pop king’s wife.”

Today, many female celebrities are turning to livestreaming, each with different approaches. Some chase hype and clicks; others, like Quinlivan, rely on authenticity. Her calm, sincere style stands out — no theatrics, just genuine engagement.

In a cooling entertainment industry, Quinlivan proves that marriage isn’t the end of ambition. A woman’s worth extends far beyond her husband’s fame — and through hard work and confidence, she shines in her own right.
