Actress Zhao Yingzi (formerly Zhao Hanyingzi) once again stirred up online buzz after a candid livestream confession. She revealed that she had broken up with her A-list boyfriend who is 11 years younger, sharing emotional details that quickly became the talk of social media.

In her trademark outspoken style, Zhao said, “Babe, remember I once dated an A-list actor 11 years younger than me? Back then, he wasn’t even famous!” She went on to describe how things changed after his career took off: “When he became popular and got more attention, he started treating me differently—he’d look at my face and just… lose patience.”

According to Zhao, the breakup wasn’t about direct criticism of her appearance, but rather the shift in subtle behaviors:

“He used to care about everything, even our fights felt sweet. But after my looks declined, every argument turned into a war—he’d snap back with a hundred words, and I could feel my heart tremble.”

The emotional monologue immediately sparked speculation online about who the “younger A-list boyfriend” might be. Others, however, questioned whether Zhao was once again turning personal drama into a publicity stunt.

After all, Zhao has been known for her headline-making antics—from claiming to have an “A-list boyfriend” and hinting at pregnancy, to fainting on the red carpet and calling herself “Di-Mi-Meng-Za” (a self-made blend of the names Dilraba Dilmurat, Yang Mi, and Meng Ziyi).

Some netizens mocked her, saying, “She’s basically acting out a soap opera in her livestreams,” while others remarked, “She doesn’t need a drama script—she is the drama.”

Despite the backlash, Zhao continued to engage with viewers, even asking, “Don’t you agree with how I feel?” turning her heartbreak into interactive content.

Whether genuine or calculated, Zhao Yingzi once again proved her mastery of modern fame—
When the works don’t speak for you, storytelling still keeps you in the spotlight.
