At the press conference for TVING’s original series Dear X held on October 30 at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall in Seoul, actress Kim Yoo Jung personally addressed the recent dating rumors linking her to co-star Kim Do Hoon. The event was also attended by Kim Young Dae, Lee Yeol Eum, and director Lee Eung Bok.

Dear X is a melodramatic suspense series that follows Baek Ah Jin (played by Kim Yoo Jung), South Korea’s top actress who hides her cruel nature behind a beautiful façade, and Yoon Joon Seo (played by Kim Young Dae), a man who descends into “hell” to protect her. The story portrays Baek Ah Jin’s tragic downfall and explores the extremes of love and ambition.
In September, Kim Yoo Jung and Kim Do Hoon became the center of dating rumors after being spotted together at a Vietnam airport in May. Both also shared photos from their Nha Trang trip around the same time, further fueling speculation.

Addressing the topic, Kim Yoo Jung said with a smile,
“As soon as the articles came out, I called Kim Do Hoon, and we couldn’t stop laughing for about three minutes. I even laughed a lot while talking with the director. From our perspective, this just shows how much attention people are giving us—and I hope that interest helps the project succeed.”
Director Lee Eung Bok added humorously,
“I can even provide a few more photos—I’ve secured some good shots.”
Actor Kim Young Dae chimed in,
“I honestly had no idea what was going on. I wasn’t there, so I called to ask if it was real or fake, and they told me it wasn’t true.”
Meanwhile, Lee Yeol Eum shared,
“I couldn’t join them either, but we talked about our schedules in the group chat. I knew exactly when they went, so when I saw the news later, it just made me laugh.”
The TVING original series Dear X is set to premiere with episodes 1–4 releasing on November 6 at 6 PM KST.
