After a year of postponement, the highly anticipated crime series “Villains” starring Yoo Ji Tae, Lee Min Jung, Kwak Do Won, and Lee Beom Soo has finally confirmed its release date.
According to a report by HERALD POP on November 7, the TVING original drama “Villains” will officially premiere on December 18.

The series was originally scheduled to air in 2023 but was delayed following actor Kwak Do Won’s drunk driving incident in September 2022, which occurred shortly after filming had wrapped up.
A representative from TVING confirmed, “The original series ‘Villains’ will be released on December 18.” When asked whether Kwak Do Won’s scenes had been edited out, the representative cautiously replied, “It’s difficult to comment at this stage due to potential spoilers.”
“Villains” is a gritty crime thriller that follows the intense clashes and power struggles among criminals revolving around a hyper-realistic counterfeit bill known as the Supernote.
The series is directed by Jin Hyuk, known for “The Master’s Sun,” “Legend of the Blue Sea,” and “The Tale of Lady Ok,” with a screenplay written by Kim Hyung Joon, the director behind the 2010 thriller film “No Mercy.”
