Live-action “SAKAMOTO DAYS” Announces Cast for Sakamoto’s Family: Ueto Aya and Yoshimoto Miyu Join Meguro Ren

The upcoming live-action adaptation of SAKAMOTO DAYS has officially revealed that Ueto Aya and Yoshimoto Miyu will play the wife and daughter of the main character, portrayed by Meguro Ren (Snow Man).

Based on the manga of the same name by Suzuki Yuto, the film is directed by Fukuda Yuichi, known for HK: Hentai Kamen, Gintama, Wotakoi: Love Is Hard for Otaku, Saint☆Onii-san, Shin Kaishaku: Sangokushi, and Under Ninja. Another previously announced cast member is Takahashi Fumiya.

Synopsis:
The story follows Sakamoto Taro (Meguro), a once-legendary hitman feared by all criminals. After falling in love with Aoi (Ueto Aya), a convenience store clerk, Sakamoto decides to abandon his life of killing and settle down. Now a chubby middle-aged man running a small general store with his wife and daughter Hana (Yoshimoto Miyu), Sakamoto lives a quiet life — until one day he’s invited to return to the underworld. When he refuses, waves of assassins begin to target him and his shop, forcing Sakamoto to fight again to protect his beloved family.

SAKAMOTO DAYS is scheduled for theatrical release during Japan’s Golden Week in 2026.
