Reports indicate that ADOR may refuse to take back Minji, Danielle, and Hanni, as the three notified the company of their return without engaging in any prior discussion or negotiation.

According to legal professionals, ADOR has sufficient grounds to issue a notice of termination regarding the trio’s exclusive contracts.

On November 12, the three members expressed their desire to return through Hanil Law Corporation—roughly three hours after Haerin and Hyein publicly announced their return through ADOR. What stood out was ADOR’s cautious response. The agency stated that it was “in the process of confirming the members’ intentions,” signaling a reserved stance toward accepting them back.

This hesitation contrasts sharply with ADOR’s earlier insistence on reuniting the group. Insiders say the agency now needs to verify whether the trio truly intends to comply with their exclusive contracts—especially since, unlike Haerin and Hyein, they did not engage in any direct conversation with ADOR before making their announcement.

Industry sources remain skeptical about NewJeans’ ability to resume full-group activities under ADOR. One insider commented:
“When ADOR says it’s ‘confirming their intentions,’ it implies doubt in the sincerity of the three members. It also raises concerns about whether they can work together harmoniously as NewJeans again.”

Another entertainment official added:
“The way Minji and Hanni behaved during the emergency press conference and National Assembly audit likely damaged ADOR’s trust. Given that, it’s uncertain whether the company will accept their unilateral decision to return without proper consultation.”

Legal experts agree that ADOR currently holds strong grounds to terminate the trio’s contracts. Ironically, while contract termination was something NewJeans members had previously sought, professionals note that if the contracts are dissolved now, legal liability may shift to the members themselves.
