Nagase Riko and Fujiwara Taiyu have been confirmed as the leads in the upcoming television drama Toumei na Yoru ni Kakeru Kimi to, Me ni Mienai Koi wo Shita, adapted from the light novel by Shima Nanigashi.
The story follows Fuyutsuki Koharu (Nagase), a young woman who is blind, and Sorano Kakeru (Fujiwara), a university student carrying emotional scars from past interactions with others. Kakeru is assigned to support Koharu in her class and gradually finds himself drawn to her cheerful and optimistic personality. Koharu, in turn, begins to develop feelings for Kakeru, who treats her with honesty and does not let her blindness change the way he interacts with her. As their bond deepens, Kakeru dedicates himself to making Koharu’s dream of seeing fireworks a reality.
Toumei na Yoru ni Kakeru Kimi to, Me ni Mienai Koi wo Shita is set to premiere on December 11, airing weekly on MBS’s “Drama Toku” time slot at 24:59 on Thursdays, as well as on several other networks.
