The story follows Seiko Asahi, who is suddenly left to manage her Oden shop while caring for her two children and mother-in-law after her husband mysteriously disappears. A month later, the police inform her that her husband has died in a river accident. Based on personal belongings and physical characteristics, Seiko confirms the body is “definitely my husband.” However, a year later, the husband believed dead suddenly reappears, complicating Seiko’s life further as she had received insurance money due to the mistaken identity.

“Otto ni Machigaiarimasen” will air from January 2026 at 10:00 p.m. every Monday on Kansai TV and Fuji TV.
