The live-action adaptation of Romantic Killer has officially unveiled its cast lineup, confirming that Shirahama Alan (GENERATIONS) will appear as a rebellious high school student. This marks his first “delinquent” role in nine years since HiGH&LOW ~THE STORY OF S.W.O.R.D.~, and his return to this character type has immediately sparked excitement among fans who remember the sharp charisma he brought to such roles.

Starring Kamishiraishi Moka, the film is based on the popular manga by Momoyo Wataru and centers on Hoshino Anzu, a high school girl who has absolutely no interest in romance. Instead, she devotes herself wholeheartedly to games, chocolate, and her beloved cat. Her quiet, romance-free life is abruptly disrupted when the wizard Riri appears and declares that the magic world is collapsing due to a severe shortage of “love energy.” To save their world, Riri casts a spell on Anzu, forcing her into a one-month mission: she must fall in love.
From that moment on, Anzu’s life becomes a whirlwind of unexpected romantic setups and comedic chaos. Handsome classmates begin appearing around her one after another, each bringing a different kind of charm, temptation, and trouble. What was once a peaceful daily routine soon turns into a series of unpredictable, heart-fluttering encounters that she never asked for—and desperately wants to escape.
The film features an impressive lineup of male leads, including Takahashi Kyohei (Naniwa Danshi), Kimura Masaya (INI), and Nakajima Sota (FANTASTICS). Together, they form a dynamic trio whose chemistry and contrasting personalities shape the story’s youthful, humorous, and occasionally chaotic charm. Shirahama Alan’s addition injects the film with a stronger edge and energy, deepening the interplay between characters and elevating the tension of this comedic “romance battle.”
Beyond the main cast, the film includes a wide ensemble such as Yonashiro Sho (JO1), Sato Taiki (EXILE/FANTASTICS), Takahashi Hikaru, Ito Shunsuke (Oswald), Kosaka Juri, Mori Kasumi, Honda Chikara, Todo Hinata, Tsuda Kenjiro, Naito Shuichiro, Toyoda Yudai, and Takezai Terunosuke. Together, they construct a vibrant, lively school setting filled with personality and drama. Through these interactions, Romantic Killer not only portrays the chaos of forced romance but also explores the confusion, growth, and unexpected tenderness hidden in adolescence.
Set to premiere on December 12, the film is poised to become one of the most anticipated romantic comedies of the winter season. Whether you are a fan of the original manga, a follower of the young idols, or simply someone who enjoys heartwarming and hysterical high-school stories, Romantic Killer promises a delightful and entertaining experience. With Shirahama Alan stepping back into his delinquent persona and a charming cast supporting him, the film offers a fresh, vibrant take on magical romance and youthful drama.
