The upcoming drama “I DOL I” has revealed new stills of Kim Jae Yeong, offering a glimpse into the mysterious courtroom romance that unfolds when star lawyer and devoted fan Maeng Se Na steps in to defend her favorite idol, Do Ra Ik, after he is accused of murder.

The stills portray the contrasting sides of Do Ra Ik’s life. As the lead vocalist of the wildly popular band Gold Boys, he shines on stage with commanding presence and a polished smile that reflects the perfection expected of a top-tier idol. Yet away from the spotlight, a more troubled side emerges, hinting at the inner turmoil he has long kept hidden. His world crumbles when he suddenly becomes the prime suspect in the death of one of his fellow members.
In the interrogation room, Do Ra Ik appears on the verge of tears, torn between fear, anger, and the injustice of the situation. The images intensify curiosity about how a celebrated idol becomes entangled in a murder case and whether he will manage to clear his name with the help of Maeng Se Na.

Kim Jae Yeong shared insights into his preparation, explaining that he invested significant time into singing and instrument practice to convincingly portray a band vocalist. He also worked meticulously on styling and stage expression to perfect the character’s onstage aura, heightening anticipation for his performance.
“I DOL I” is scheduled to premiere on December 22 at 10 p.m. KST.
