According to reports on November 28, Ahn Sung Soo, president of actor Kim Soo Hyun’s agency Gold Medalist, has stepped down from his position after roughly nine months in office.

Ahn was appointed in December 2024, following the resignation of former president “A,” who had overseen the mediation of damages related to the late actress Kim Sae Ron’s DUI incident.
In March of this year, during controversies linking Kim Soo Hyun to Kim Sae Ron, Ahn Sung Soo appeared at Kim’s emergency press conference, emphasizing that the actor had never dated Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor and denying all allegations.
Following the press conference, Kim Soo Hyun and Gold Medalist filed a lawsuit estimated at 12 billion KRW against Kim Sae Ron’s family and YouTube channel HOVERLAB, alleging defamation, violation of the Information Protection Act, and other charges.
The reason for Ahn’s sudden resignation has not been officially disclosed, but insiders speculate it may be related to internal restructuring and ongoing legal disputes. Gold Medalist is expected to announce updates regarding its leadership in the near future.
