KBS’s upcoming historical drama “To My Beloved Thief” has released its first stills of Nam Ji Hyun, offering a deeper look at her dual-identity character.
The drama follows the extraordinary journey of Hong Eun Jo, a woman who unexpectedly becomes a righteous bandit, and a Joseon prince who switches souls with her while pursuing her. Through this supernatural twist, the two end up saving one another and join forces to protect the people.

Nam Ji Hyun transforms into Hong Eun Jo, a skilled physician by day and the masked thief Gil Dong by night. Born as an eolnyeo—the daughter of a noble father and a commoner mother—Hong Eun Jo possesses unwavering resolve and refuses to bow to power. She embodies the moral ideal of being firm with the strong and gentle with the weak.
At the Hyeminseo Clinic, she heals the sick with warmth and compassion. But once night falls, she becomes Gil Dong, a mysterious figure who steals from corrupt officials to aid the suffering commoners. Just as she juggles her demanding double life, an unforeseen twist ties her fate to Prince Yi Yeol (Moon Sang Min), who is determined to catch Gil Dong.

The newly released stills showcase the contrasting facets of Hong Eun Jo. In daylight, she shines with kindness, offering comfort to those around her. By night, she holds Gil Dong’s mask with a grave expression—symbolizing her resolve to fight injustice.
Another image reveals an unfamiliar but elegant side of her, dressed in a refined silk gown. Her appearance resembles that of a noble young lady, raising intrigue about what events led Hong Eun Jo to become the people’s beloved righteous thief.

With her exceptional emotional range and natural affinity for historical roles, Nam Ji Hyun is expected to deliver a captivating portrayal of Hong Eun Jo.
“To My Beloved Thief” will premiere on January 3, 2026, at 9:20 p.m. KST.
