SBS has confirmed that Flex x Cop will officially return with Season 2 in 2026, with Ahn Bo Hyun and Jung Eun Chae set to star as the new leads. Director Kim Jae Hong and writer Kim Ba Da from Season 1 will also return, ensuring continuity in tone and storytelling.

Season 1 starred Ahn Bo Hyun and Park Ji Hyun, following the story of Jin Yi Soo, a spoiled third-generation chaebol who unexpectedly becomes a detective, and Lee Kang Hyun, a dedicated veteran detective and the first female team leader of the Homicide Department. Although the second season was confirmed early on, Park Ji Hyun later withdrew due to scheduling conflicts.

In Season 2, Ahn Bo Hyun will reprise his role as Jin Yi Soo. After completing formal police academy training, Yi Soo returns to Violent Crimes Unit 1—only to face a new dynamic. His former instructor Joo Hye Ra, infamous as a “devil instructor” for her rigorous and relentless training methods, will join the team as the new leader, creating a compelling tension between the two.

Jung Eun Chae joins as Joo Hye Ra, bringing with her a strong résumé from projects such as Pachinko, Anna, and Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born. As a former ace of the National Police Agency’s Counter-Terrorism Unit, she volunteers to lead Violent Crimes Unit 1 and becomes Jin Yi Soo’s direct supervisor. Their shift from “instructor and trainee” to official partners sparks anticipation for fresh chemistry and dynamic teamwork.

The production team shared that they are preparing thoroughly to deliver a more exciting and thrilling second season, aiming to repay the support that Season 1 received.
