MBC has officially confirmed that Kong Hyo Jin and Jung Jun Won will star in the upcoming action drama “A Bona fide Killer” (working title), adapted from a popular webtoon.
“A Bona fide Killer” follows the story of a working mother with the world’s most lethal profession as she fights to maintain her work–life balance.
Kong Hyo Jin plays Yu Bo Na, a homemaker of five years with a husband and a four-year-old daughter—and an elite assassin who eliminates vicious criminals. After a three-year maternity break, she returns to active duty and finds herself juggling chaotic family life with life-threatening missions.
Jung Jun Won stars as the husband who becomes increasingly determined to uncover his wife’s deadly secret, adding suspense and emotional tension to the story.
Directed by Yoon Jong Ho of “Lovely Runner,” the drama is slated to premiere in the second half of the year.
