KBS 2TV’s Last Summer is gearing up for another entertaining and emotionally charged episode, and newly released stills show that the drama is ready to mix jealousy, rivalry, and humor in the most unexpected way.

The series follows two childhood friends who uncover the truth behind their long-buried first love. Lee Jae Wook plays Baek Do Ha, a gifted architect, while Choi Sung Eun stars as Song Ha Gyeong, a civil servant longing to escape her small hometown. After 17 complicated years, the pair officially began dating in the previous episode.

But peace is short-lived—especially when old tension resurfaces.

A Casual Game Turns Into a Battle of Pride

In the new stills, Baek Do Ha, Ha Gyeong, Seo Su Hyeok (Kim Gun Woo), and Yoon So Hee (Kwon Ah Reum) sit down for a casual game of alkkagi. What should have been light fun quickly transforms into an intense emotional showdown.

The moment Do Ha sees Ha Gyeong sitting close to Su Hyeok—whom she briefly dated—his jealousy ignites instantly. His eyes burn with determination as he channels all his energy into “winning” the game, as though proving something far beyond the rules of alkkagi.

But Su Hyeok isn’t backing down. With competitive fire in his own gaze, he stretches his wrists and prepares as if stepping into a championship match. Their silent rivalry fills the room with playful tension.

Meanwhile, Ha Gyeong watches with her arms crossed, half-amused and half-exasperated, while So Hee finds Do Ha’s exaggerated seriousness—and his attempt at showing “team spirit”—downright humorous.

Who Will Win This Unexpected Duel?

This simple game reveals more than anyone expected: Do Ha’s possessiveness, Su Hyeok’s persistence, and Ha Gyeong’s complicated position between the two. As affection and rivalry blur, the drama promises another charming and tension-filled chapter.

Catch the next episode of Last Summer on December 6 at 9:20 p.m. KST to see how this lighthearted yet intense face-off unfolds.
