Netflix’s upcoming superhero drama “Cashero” has dropped new stills, offering a vibrant look into its eccentric cast of “imperfect heroes.”

Based on the popular webtoon, “Cashero” follows Kang Sang Ung, an ordinary government employee who suddenly gains an odd superpower: his physical strength increases proportionally to the amount of cash he holds. To save people, he must literally spend money—turning every rescue into a painful choice between heroism and financial survival.

The stills show Sang Ung covered in dust, lifting debris and pushing through chaos, all while clutching bundles of cash that power his abilities. What should be a triumphant moment becomes strangely bittersweet, as each heroic act simultaneously empties his wallet. For a couple diligently saving for their wedding, this newfound power becomes an unexpected burden.

Min Suk’s anxious expression captures her conflict: she admires Sang Ung’s courage but fears a future where his powers drain their savings. Her practical, money-conscious personality stands in stark contrast to the financial cost of Sang Ung’s heroism, adding emotional depth to their relationship.

Members of the Korea Superpowered Association—Byeon Ho In and Bang Eun Mi—further enrich this quirky universe. Ho In gains the ability to walk through walls whenever he drinks alcohol, while Eun Mi’s telekinesis grows stronger the more she eats. Their stills, featuring a liquor bottle in his hand and bread crumbs on her lips, highlight their charmingly bizarre powers and human flaws.

Together, they urge Sang Ung to help save the world, pushing him into a dilemma: follow his duty as a hero or protect his wallet?

The drama aims to portray ordinary people with ordinary struggles—wrapped in extraordinary circumstances. It’s a story where humor, realism, and empathy intertwine, offering a fresh take on what it means to be a hero.

“Cashero” will premiere on December 26 on Netflix, promising a uniquely heartfelt and comedic superhero tale.
