From a naïvely mischievous inmate to an unhinged, chaotic persona and finally the bold, surreal “afro” figure, his five sets of makeup and costumes transitioned fluidly. Looking ahead, Wang Junkai is currently in talks for the film The Victim, produced by Yaoke, which is expected to begin filming in the first quarter of 2026.
