SBS’s hit series Taxi Driver 3 is set to introduce a new antagonist, with Jang Nara confirmed to play the first villain role of her career. The production team unveiled a special poster at midnight KST on December 15, officially announcing her transformation.

Image sources: publicly available photos, social media posts, photos from the office, Weibo, Instagram, etc.

In the drama, Jang Nara portrays Kang Ju Ri, a former girl group member who has risen to become the CEO of her own entertainment agency. While she presents herself as a polished and successful businesswoman, Kang Ju Ri conceals a twisted and greedy nature beneath her refined exterior. The character brings the darker realities of the entertainment industry into sharp focus.

The newly released poster captures a striking contrast to Jang Nara’s familiar image. Dressed with elegance and composure, she radiates sophistication, yet her icy gaze and subtle, calculating smile hint at the chilling inner world of her character, creating a sense of tension and unease.

According to the production team, Episodes 9 and 10 will delve into the exploitation, abuse of power, and corruption hidden behind the glamorous success of K-pop. Jang Nara, long recognized for her versatility and credibility as an actress, adds significant weight to the storyline. By shedding her warm and upright image to embrace a powerful villain, her transformation is expected to become one of the most refreshing highlights of the season.

Viewers can catch Jang Nara’s dramatic turn in Taxi Driver 3 when the next episode airs on December 19 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
