The upcoming film Revenger (working title) has officially confirmed its main cast and begun production. Directed by Hong Eui Jung, best known for Voice of Silence, the project started filming on November 17 and has quickly drawn attention with its distinctive concept and ensemble lineup.

Revenger tells the story of Yoon Ha, a young woman who becomes a ghost after dying unjustly in a sudden accident. Unable to leave the living world because of her concern for her younger sibling, whose life is in danger, she forms an unexpected alliance with a goblin who has dreamed of becoming human for 400 years. Together, they cross the fragile boundary between life and death in an attempt to protect what matters most.

Kim Yoo Jung stars as Yoon Ha, portraying a character caught between loss and determination. Though unjustly killed, Yoon Ha remains in the human world as a ghost, driven by her resolve to save her sibling. The role serves as the emotional core of the film, balancing vulnerability with quiet strength. Park Ji Hwan plays the goblin, a being sealed away for centuries whose fate changes after being awakened by Yoon Ha. Their evolving relationship is expected to bring both warmth and unexpected energy to the story.

Cho Yeo Jeong appears as Joo Bo, a shaman who pursues Yoon Ha’s spirit. As a figure who bridges the realms of the living and the dead, her character adds tension and complexity to the narrative. Supporting roles are filled by Yoo Jae Myung, reuniting with director Hong Eui Jung after Voice of Silence, alongside Ji Il Joo and Bek Hyunjin, completing a diverse cast.

With its combination of fantasy, occult themes, and comedic undertones, Revenger aims to deliver a fresh genre experience while maintaining emotional depth. Through its unique characters and focus on protection, regret, and redemption, the film positions itself as a distinctive addition to contemporary Korean cinema.
