Over the past two years, Wang Yibo has noticeably reduced his involvement in film and drama projects, choosing instead to step back and devote more time to his personal interests, exploring new sources of motivation and enjoyment.

In one of his own programs, Wang Yibo openly shared that he is currently in a phase where rest is necessary in order to rediscover his sense of identity as an actor. He explained that when passion gradually turns into work—and the workload continues to increase—it becomes difficult to truly enjoy the acting process itself. Fatigue naturally follows, making balance an essential issue to address.

At present, Wang Yibo remains on a break from acting projects. Despite repeated signals and encouragement from senior management at his company to return to work, he has chosen to maintain his own pace rather than rushing back into filming.

Importantly, this pause does not reflect disengagement from his career. By actively pursuing his personal interests, Wang Yibo has continued to generate commercial value, contributing positively to endorsement-related revenue. As a result, the company has still benefited from his activities, which has helped ease concerns surrounding his current work hiatus.
