Set in the late 1990s, the upcoming drama “Undercover Ms. Hong” has unveiled new stills that highlight the tension between its two lead characters. Framed as an office comedy, the series follows Hong Geum Bo (Park Shin Hye), an elite financial supervisory officer in her 30s who goes undercover as a 20-year-old rookie after uncovering suspicious fund activities at a securities firm.

The newly released images focus on Hong Geum Bo and Shin Jung Woo (Ko Kyung Pyo), former lovers whose relationship ended abruptly due to an unforeseen incident. Years later, fate brings them back together under unusual circumstances: Geum Bo infiltrates Hanmin Securities under the alias Hong Jang Mi, while Jung Woo joins the company as its newly appointed CEO. Their unexpected reunion immediately complicates both her investigation and their unresolved past.

Earlier stills depict the pair in their younger days. Hong Geum Bo, with long, straight hair, appears on the verge of tears, while Jung Woo faces her with a mix of urgency and confusion. These scenes hint at an emotional rupture that continues to influence their present-day interactions.

In contrast, present-day stills capture the shock of their reunion. Geum Bo’s expression reveals genuine surprise, while Jung Woo meets her gaze with eyes filled with restrained and complicated emotions. His wary reaction to her youthful appearance subtly underscores the central tension of the story, as he senses something amiss without knowing her true identity.

As Geum Bo continues her undercover mission, curiosity builds over how she will maintain her cover while navigating workplace challenges and lingering emotions. “Undercover Ms. Hong” is scheduled to premiere on January 17, 2026 at 9:10 p.m. KST, promising a blend of workplace humor, emotional intrigue, and period charm.
