The cast of tvN’s upcoming romantic comedy “Spring Fever” has shared what viewers can look forward to ahead of the drama’s premiere, offering insight into its characters, tone, and emotional appeal.
“Spring Fever” centers on the romance between Yoon Bom (Lee Joo Bin), an emotionally distant high school teacher, and Seon Jae Gyu (Ahn Bo Hyun), a passionate man whose sincerity gradually melts her guarded heart. The drama builds its narrative around emotional contrast, misunderstandings, and the slow process of connection.

Ahn Bo Hyun highlighted Seon Jae Gyu’s unconventional behavior as one of the drama’s key attractions. He explained that Jae Gyu’s outward appearance and actions often lead to misunderstandings among the townspeople, and watching those misconceptions unravel over time adds both humor and warmth to the story.
Lee Joo Bin emphasized the drama’s visual appeal, noting that over 90 percent of the scenes were filmed outdoors, with nature and seaside landscapes playing a significant role in shaping the atmosphere. She also pointed to the lively banter and realistic yet charming chemistry between the two leads, whose opposing personalities create engaging and relatable interactions.

As the series is adapted from a web novel, Cha Seo Won remarked that part of the enjoyment lies in comparing the original source material with the televised version. He encouraged viewers to pay attention to how closely the actors align with their characters and how the story has been reinterpreted for the screen.
Cho Jun Young focused on the drama’s relatability, stating that the incidents unfolding between characters from different backgrounds reflect everyday emotional experiences. He described the overall tone of the drama as warm and romantic, echoing the freshness suggested by its title.
Lee Jae In drew attention to the younger characters’ storyline, highlighting the unpredictable relationship between her character and Cho Jun Young’s. She noted that the evolving love-hate dynamic between the students ranked first and second in their school adds an additional layer of intrigue to the narrative.
“Spring Fever” is set to premiere on January 5, 2026, at 8:50 p.m. KST.
