The television drama Echoes of Encounter officially announced its main cast on December 29, 2025. The series stars Zhang Zifeng, Ma Jiaqi, Feng Shaofeng, and Cao Bingkun in leading roles, with Wu Shile, Li Sibo, Yin Wenxuan, Liu Zengyu, and Zhou Qiqi also joining the production.
Adapted from the novel by Tianrui Shuofu, the story is told through a dual-timeline structure. Set partly in 2019, it follows Bai Yang, a high school senior in Nanjing who unexpectedly establishes radio contact with Ban Xia, a survivor living in a post-apocalyptic world in the year 2040.
Separated by more than two decades, the two characters form a fragile connection through intermittent signals. As their communication continues, they attempt to coordinate a rescue effort that transcends time, gradually uncovering how individual choices may influence events far beyond their own era.
By combining speculative elements with a grounded urban setting, Echoes of Encounter explores themes of fate, responsibility, and human connection. With its cast now confirmed, the drama has drawn attention for its potential to balance emotional storytelling with a high-concept narrative.
