MBC brought the year to a close with the 2025 MBC Drama Awards, held on December 30 in Seoul and hosted by Lee Sun Bin and Kim Sung Joo. The ceremony served as a comprehensive review of the network’s most impactful dramas and performances, highlighting both commercial success and artistic achievement.

The Daesang (Grand Prize) was awarded to Seo Kang Jun for his leading role in Undercover High School, a series that also claimed the Drama of the Year honor. The show emerged as one of the evening’s defining titles, with Jin Ki Joo receiving a Top Excellence Award for her performance and Kim Shin Rok winning Best Supporting Actress, underscoring the strength of the ensemble cast.
The Best Couple Award went to Kang Tae Oh and Kim Se Jeong for Moon River. Both actors were additionally recognized with Top Excellence Awards, reflecting the drama’s popularity and the strong on-screen chemistry that resonated with viewers throughout the year.

Among the individual acting honors, Jung Kyung Ho won Best Actor for Oh My Ghost Clients, while Lee Se Young earned Best Actress for Motel California. Veteran actor Lee Soon Jae was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award, acknowledging his enduring contribution to Korean television and performance arts.
Across various categories, dramas such as Desperate Mrs. Seon Ju, The Woman Who Swallowed the Sun, To the Moon, and Motel California received recognition in miniseries, short-form, and daily drama divisions. The Best New Actor and Actress awards were given to Lee Chae Min, Lee Sin Young, Jo Aram, and Hong Su Zu, marking notable breakthroughs for emerging talents.
