Actor Byeon Woo Seok has ushered in the new year by making a meaningful donation to Yonsei University Severance Hospital, extending support to young patients in need.
On January 2, Severance Hospital announced that Byeon Woo Seok donated 100 million won on January 1 to help cover treatment costs for pediatric and adolescent patients. The donation will be used to ease medical expenses for young patients undergoing care.

Sharing his thoughts, Byeon Woo Seok expressed his happiness at being able to contribute to efforts that help children and teenagers regain their health. He stated that he hopes the donation will provide practical assistance during treatment and recovery, while also offering encouragement to patients and their families as they look toward the future. With the arrival of 2026, he added, he hopes that everyone—including young patients and their loved ones—can continue to hold on to hope.
This is not the actor’s first act of generosity toward the hospital. In 2024, Byeon Woo Seok previously donated 300 million won to Severance Hospital to support treatment for pediatric and adolescent patients, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to medical philanthropy.
Byeon Woo Seok rose to prominence through the tvN drama “Lovely Runner” and is currently filming the MBC drama “Perfect Crown,” which co-stars IU and is scheduled to air later this year.
