tvN’s upcoming variety show Bogum’s Magic Curl (working title) has released its first teaser, offering an early look at Park Bo Gum’s latest project. Set in a remote rural village, the show follows Park Bo Gum and his close friends Lee Sang Yi and Kwak Dong Yeon as they run a unique barbershop that cares for both appearances and emotions.

Park Bo Gum, who holds a nationally certified barber’s license, takes on the role of a barber who listens as much as he styles. Together with his two friends, he opens a temporary barbershop for village residents, creating a space where everyday conversations and personal stories naturally unfold.

The teaser opens on a snowy day as Park Bo Gum heads to work. Carrying a practice mannequin, multiple bags, and a backpack, he walks forward with visible excitement, clearly anticipating the new challenge that awaits him.

Upon arriving at the barbershop, Park Bo Gum exclaims, “It’s beautiful.” The salon, renovated from a long-abandoned house, already exudes warmth and charm even before opening its doors, hinting at the cozy atmosphere the show aims to create.

Describing the program as “a place where magic happens,” Park Bo Gum raises expectations for the transformations that will take place. Beyond changes in hairstyle, the “magic” lies in bringing customers’ wishes to life and sharing sincere moments that can only emerge in such an intimate setting.

It was also revealed that Park Bo Gum, Lee Sang Yi, and Kwak Dong Yeon spent nearly a year preparing for the show. From selecting the location to remodeling and interior design, the trio actively participated in every step. Though not professional shop owners, they approach the project with genuine hearts, hoping to connect with villagers through small but meaningful gestures and create a memorable, heartwarming experience together.

Bogum’s Magic Curl is set to deliver a quiet yet touching portrayal of human connection, using a rural barbershop as the stage for everyday magic.
