As he marks his 30th anniversary in the entertainment industry, acclaimed Japanese actor Ikuta Toma has announced the start of a full-scale music career, opening a new chapter in his long-standing artistic journey.

His debut single, titled “Super Romance,” is produced by renowned musician Yasuyuki Okamura and has been selected as the theme song for Nippon Television’s prime-time drama “Panda Yori Koi ga Nigate na Onna.” The series stars Ikuta Toma alongside Kamishiraishi Moka and is scheduled to premiere on January 10. The song will be unveiled during the broadcast of the first episode and released shortly afterward on major music streaming platforms.
In addition to the song’s release, Ikuta Toma will make his first-ever television appearance as a singer on Nippon Television’s music program “with MUSIC,” airing at 10 p.m. on the same day. This performance will mark the first time he sings on television since beginning his career.
Ahead of the drama’s premiere, Nippon Television will also release a promotional video featuring a preview of “Super Romance” on the drama’s official YouTube channel. With music and acting projects unfolding simultaneously, Ikuta Toma’s move into music is being viewed as a meaningful and symbolic milestone in his three-decade career, highlighting his continued evolution as an entertainer.
