Netflix’s upcoming original series Can This Love Be Translated? has released new stills, offering a deeper look at the evolving relationship between Kim Seon Ho and Go Youn Jung. Set against a multilingual, cross-cultural work environment, the drama explores a romance that develops amid uncertainty, miscommunication, and emotional shifts.

The series follows Joo Ho Jin (Kim Seon Ho), a multilingual interpreter, and Cha Mu Hee (Go Youn Jung), a top star whose career has rapidly propelled her into the spotlight. What begins as a strictly professional partnership gradually transforms as their work repeatedly brings them together in unfamiliar places.

The newly revealed stills highlight Ho Jin’s subtle emotional changes. From calmly browsing books in a foreign bookstore to standing amid breathtaking natural landscapes with conflicted expressions, the images capture the internal turbulence of a man known for his precision and restraint. As his involvement with Mu Hee deepens, his once-stable composure begins to waver.

Stills featuring Mu Hee present a contrasting yet equally complex portrait. Rising from an unknown actress to an overnight star, she is shown fully immersed in filming, while other moments depict her lost in thought. As she spends more time with Ho Jin, Mu Hee, too, is drawn into an emotional current that challenges her carefully maintained public persona.

Their journey begins with an initial meeting in Japan and continues as they travel together to Canada and Italy for the filming of Romantic Trip. Across multiple countries, their bond steadily grows through shared smiles and lingering glances, while tense encounters on dimly lit city streets suggest unresolved conflict. The unfamiliar settings amplify both their closeness and their misunderstandings, adding unpredictability to their romance.

Adding further intrigue, additional stills show Hiro (Fukushi Sota) holding onto Mu Hee on the red carpet, hinting at his role as an unexpected variable in the relationship between Ho Jin and Mu Hee. Appearances by Romantic Trip PD Shin Ji Sun (Lee Yi Dam) and Mu Hee’s longtime manager Kim Yong Woo (Choi Woo Sung) also raise questions about how each supporting character will influence the story’s direction.

Can This Love Be Translated? is set to premiere on January 16, with anticipation building around its nuanced portrayal of love shaped by language, distance, and emotional vulnerability.
