JTBC’s drama “Love Me” is set to reach a pivotal emotional turning point as Seo Hyun Jin’s character comes face-to-face with her boyfriend’s past. Seo Jun Kyung, played by Seo Hyun Jin, will confront Ju Do Hyun’s ex-girlfriend—and the mother of his child—bringing unresolved histories into the present.

“Love Me” is a remake of a Swedish series by Josephine Bornebusch and follows a seemingly self-centered yet deeply relatable family as each member embarks on a personal journey of love and growth. Seo Jun Kyung is portrayed as a successful OB-GYN with a polished life on the surface, but one marked by profound loneliness beneath.
Ju Do Hyun (Chang Ryul) parted ways with his former girlfriend Im Yoon Joo (Gong Sung Ha) when they were 20. Yoon Joo later gave birth to their son, Daniel (Moon Woo Jin), and moved to Germany, raising him on her own. Fourteen years later, Do Hyun is reunited with the son he never had the chance to raise.
After coming to Korea, Daniel chooses to stay with his father—a decision Do Hyun embraces wholeheartedly. Determined to make up for lost time, he immerses himself in fatherhood. Their relationship begins awkwardly, shaped by emotional distance and cultural and language barriers, but gradually softens as shared moments create genuine connection. Throughout this process, Jun Kyung respects Do Hyun’s choices and quietly remains by his side, navigating the situation with restraint and empathy.
The return of Yoon Joo, however, signals a significant shift. Her presence was foreshadowed in the previous episode through a phone call with Daniel, whose bright smile while talking about life in Korea hinted at changes ahead. Newly released stills show Jun Kyung meeting Yoon Joo for the first time. While Jun Kyung appears visibly shaken, Yoon Joo remains calm and composed—and is even seen alongside Do Hyun—raising questions about her intentions.
According to the production team, this encounter marks the moment when Do Hyun’s past and present truly collide. Daniel’s openly hostile attitude toward Jun Kyung will also play a crucial role in shaping the emotional dynamics among the three adults. How Jun Kyung, Do Hyun, and Yoon Joo respond to this situation will determine the future direction of their respective relationships.
The next episode of “Love Me” airs on January 9 at 8:50 p.m. KST.
