On January 12 (local time), Arden Cho and Ahn Hyo Seop appeared as guests on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where they discussed their voice acting roles in the Netflix animated film KPop Demon Hunters.

During the interview, the two actors spoke about lending their voices to the characters Rumi and Jinu, respectively. Host Jimmy Fallon expressed surprise upon learning that the appearance marked only their second time meeting in person. Arden Cho jokingly attributed it to “movie magic,” suggesting that their on-screen chemistry made it seem as though they spent much more time together.

The conversation also touched on behind-the-scenes details from the film’s production. Cho revealed that she had initially auditioned for a different role, Celine, before being cast as Rumi. Ahn Hyo Seop shared his long-standing interest in animation, mentioning Frozen as one of his favorite films, which he watched later in life but still found deeply memorable.

Speaking about his cover of the song “Free,” Ahn Hyo Seop admitted that he had secretly hoped to sing within the movie itself. Cho added that she was especially excited when her friend Cha Eun Woo contacted her to collaborate on a cover of “Free,” noting that it became his final cover release before enlisting in the military.

The appearance offered viewers a closer look at the creative process behind KPop Demon Hunters and highlighted the actors’ perspectives on voice acting, music, and collaboration within animated storytelling.
