Set to Enlist on February 9, Confirms Participation in Seoul Concert with Health Considerations

On January 12, Starship Entertainment officially announced that MONSTA X member I.M will enlist in the military as an active-duty soldier on February 9.

According to the agency, I.M will enter a military training center on the day of his enlistment, where he will complete basic training before carrying out his mandatory service in the Republic of Korea Army. No official events will be held on the enlistment day, and fans have been asked to refrain from visiting the site, as the ceremony will involve many enlisted soldiers and their families.

Starship Entertainment also released an additional statement regarding I.M’s health. The agency explained that he has been consistently undergoing rehabilitation treatment for back pain. Following a recent medical evaluation, I.M was cleared to participate in performances, provided they remain within a reasonable range and do not involve excessive physical strain.

Based on this assessment, I.M is scheduled to take part in the “2026 MONSTA X WORLD TOUR [THE X : NEXUS]” Seoul concert. However, his participation will be adjusted in consideration of his health, with measures in place to prevent overexertion.

The agency expressed hope for fans’ understanding and support, noting that the Seoul concert will be a meaningful occasion where all six MONSTA X members perform together. Starship Entertainment also stated that it will make every effort to ensure a safe and smooth concert experience as I.M prepares for his enlistment and upcoming military service.
