MBC’s upcoming drama In Your Radiant Season has unveiled its first stills featuring Lee Sung Kyung in character, offering an early look at her portrayal of a successful yet emotionally guarded head designer and heightening anticipation for the series.

In Your Radiant Season tells the story of two individuals living in starkly different emotional seasons. Chae Jong Hyeop stars as Sunwoo Chan, a man who approaches life with the carefree energy of an endless summer, while Lee Sung Kyung plays Song Ha Ran, a woman who has shut herself away as though trapped in a long, unyielding winter. Their encounter sets the stage for a gradual emotional thaw.

Song Ha Ran is the head designer at Nana Atelier, one of South Korea’s most prestigious high-end fashion houses. Admired for her talent, discipline, and flawless appearance, she appears to live a perfect life on the surface. Beneath that exterior, however, lies deep emotional pain. After losing the people she loved most, Ha Ran builds emotional walls to protect herself from the possibility of further loss, choosing isolation over vulnerability.
In the newly released stills, Lee Sung Kyung conveys Ha Ran’s inner world through refined styling and composed expressions. Her upright posture and unwavering gaze reflect the precision and authority of a top designer, while subtle traces of loneliness hint at the pain hidden behind her controlled demeanor. Additional images depicting Ha Ran before a life-altering accident show her with a bright smile and warmth, creating a striking contrast with her present-day self.

As curiosity grows about the events that led her to withdraw from the world, viewers are eager to see how Lee Sung Kyung’s nuanced emotional acting will bring depth to the character. According to the production team, the actress will carefully portray the complex emotions buried beneath Song Ha Ran’s cold defenses, offering a romance that balances elegance, vulnerability, and emotional resonance.
In Your Radiant Season is scheduled to premiere on February 20 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
