The upcoming film “Number One” has released new stills featuring Gong Seung Yeon, offering a closer look at her role in the emotional drama.
“Number One” centers on Ha Min (Choi Woo Shik), who begins seeing a mysterious number that decreases by one each time he eats a meal prepared by his mother. As the number continues to fall, Ha Min realizes that when it reaches zero, his mother Eun Sil (Jang Hye Jin) will pass away.

Gong Seung Yeon stars as Ryeo Eun, Ha Min’s girlfriend and most reliable supporter. A nutritionist by profession, Ryeo Eun shares a deep, meaningful connection with food—an element that subtly shapes her character and hints at a story beyond her professional life.
In the newly released stills, Ryeo Eun comes across as warm and grounded. One scene shows her staying late in the kitchen after work, happily preparing side dishes with quiet dedication, reflecting both her passion for her job and her sincere relationship with food. This detail suggests an emotional depth that extends beyond her role as a romantic partner.
Another still captures Ryeo Eun lost in thought. Unaware of Ha Min’s secret, she struggles to understand his conflicting behavior—his longing for his mother contrasted with his reluctance to visit her—leaving her emotionally unsettled.
Commenting on her character, Gong Seung Yeon described Ryeo Eun as “cool-headed and strong,” adding that “Number One” tells a story that many people can relate to. She noted that after watching the film, audiences may find themselves craving the comfort of a warm, home-cooked meal.
“Number One” is scheduled for theatrical release on February 11.
