KBS 2TV’s new drama “To My Beloved Thief” has released new stills showing Moon Sang Min and Nam Ji Hyun confronting the fallout of their unexpected body swap, marking a pivotal moment in the story.
The fantasy romance follows Hong Eun Jo, a woman secretly known as the legendary thief Hong Gil Dong, and Prince Yi Yeol, who suddenly finds himself switching souls with her. Through this supernatural twist, the drama explores clashes of identity, class, and fate.
In the previous episode, Hong Eun Jo collapsed after being injured while on the run, only to awaken in Yi Yeol’s body. At the same time, Yi Yeol—who had been resting safely in the palace—realized he had woken up in Hong Eun Jo’s body. The sudden exchange forced both characters into unfamiliar lives overnight.
Newly released stills show the two meeting again after the swap, attempting to make sense of their bewildering situation in a secluded, wooded setting. As they discuss possible solutions, tension and restraint dominate the atmosphere, while subtle emotional shifts begin to emerge. During their efforts to return to their original bodies, the pair even share an unexpected embrace, hinting at deeper developments ahead.
The production team stated that “To My Beloved Thief” goes beyond the fantasy of soul-switching, focusing instead on how a prince experiencing life among commoners and a commoner entering the royal palace come to understand each other’s realities. The story following the body swap will serve as the emotional backbone of the series.
