Lee Na Young has shared insights into her role in the upcoming ENA drama “Honour,” offering a closer look at both the character and her acting process. Adapted from a Swedish series, “Honour” is a mystery thriller that follows three lawyers as they confront a major scandal rooted in the past. Lee Na Young stars alongside Jung Eun Chae and Lee Chung Ah as founding partners of the law firm L&J (Listen and Join), which specializes in representing victims of crimes against women.

Lee Na Young portrays Yoon Ra Young, the public face of L&J and a high-profile celebrity lawyer with a massive following. Known for her sharp eloquence and striking appearance, Yoon Ra Young commands attention wherever she goes. Beneath the polished exterior, however, lies a character shaped by intense self-discipline, cold resolve, and a long-standing internal struggle.

Describing her character, Lee Na Young referred to Yoon Ra Young as “a celebrity lawyer wearing armor.” She explained that while Yoon Ra Young’s past weighs heavily on her, those experiences led her to believe that “power is necessary to speak for victims.” As a result, the character shields herself with emotional armor, ensuring that her vulnerabilities remain hidden.

From a performance standpoint, Lee Na Young emphasized the complexity of portraying Yoon Ra Young’s inner world. She noted that nearly every scene required expressing multiple emotions simultaneously, making the role particularly demanding. Because the character often conveys feelings without overt expressions of laughter or tears, the actress revealed that she sometimes cried intensely before filming to achieve the restrained emotional tone needed on screen.

Lee Na Young described “Honour” as “a project that expanded the range of what I can cover as an actor.” With a new character type and a genre-driven challenge, anticipation is building around how her portrayal of Yoon Ra Young will resonate with viewers. “Honour” is scheduled to premiere on February 2 at 10 p.m. KST.
