Park Ji Hoon may soon be adding another project to his growing filmography. On January 20, News1 reported that the actor has been offered the lead role in the upcoming drama “Promoter” (literal title) and is currently reviewing the proposal.
In response to the report, Park Ji Hoon’s agency YY Entertainment confirmed that “Promoter” is indeed one of the projects he has been offered, while clarifying that his casting has not yet been finalized. This leaves room for further discussion as the production continues to take shape.

“Promoter” is set to be directed by Lee Jong Suk, the filmmaker behind movies such as “The Negotiation” and “Forbidden Fairytale,” both known for their strong narrative tension and character-driven storytelling. According to reports, Park Ji Hoon has been offered the role of a self-made genius boxer—a character that blends physical intensity with a compelling personal journey.
If confirmed, the role would mark another step in Park Ji Hoon’s gradual expansion into diverse genres. Having steadily transitioned from idol activities to acting, he has continued to challenge himself with varied roles across film and television, earning attention for his evolving screen presence.
At present, Park Ji Hoon is preparing for the release of his upcoming film “The King’s Warden.” He is also scheduled to return to television later this year through the TVING series “Kitchen Soldier” (working title), indicating an active and carefully paced lineup.
Meanwhile, “Promoter” is reportedly in talks to air on tvN next year. As discussions move forward, anticipation continues to build over whether Park Ji Hoon will officially take on this boxing-themed lead role.
