KBS2 has unveiled new stills of Park Jin Hee from its upcoming daily drama “Pearl in Red,” offering a closer look at the actress’s dual-role performance.
“Pearl in Red” centers on an intense revenge narrative involving two women who return under false identities to expose the buried sins and hidden truths of the Adele family. The drama explores themes of identity, loss, and transformation as the story unfolds through a series of emotional reversals.
Park Jin Hee portrays twin sisters Kim Myung Hee and Kim Dan Hee. The elder sister, Myung Hee, is a kind-hearted nurse who dreams of a quiet, happy family life. Her world, however, collapses when she encounters an unexpected truth, ultimately leading her to a tragic fate. After uncovering the truth behind her sister’s death, Dan Hee abandons her own life and assumes her sister’s identity, launching a carefully calculated plan for revenge that includes taking control of the Adele Group.
The newly released stills emphasize the stark contrast between the twins. Kim Myung Hee appears warm and gentle, her soft smile conveying a calm and comforting presence. In another image, she is shown visibly anxious, as if on the verge of tears, hinting at the cracks forming in her once-peaceful life and foreshadowing the tragedy ahead.
Kim Dan Hee, by contrast, commands attention with an elegant yet authoritative demeanor befitting the head of the Adele Group’s bio division. Beneath her composed exterior lies a simmering tension, effectively conveying the character’s cold resolve and suppressed desire for revenge.
“Pearl in Red” is scheduled to premiere on February 23 at 7:50 p.m. KST.
