“Love Me” Finale Preview: Seo Hyun Jin and Chang Ryul Face a Heartbreaking Confrontation

JTBC’s drama “Love Me” has released new stills ahead of its finale, offering a poignant glimpse into the emotional crossroads facing its lead characters.

Based on the Swedish series of the same name, “Love Me” portrays a seemingly self-centered yet deeply relatable family, with each member embarking on a personal journey of love and self-discovery. Seo Hyun Jin stars as Seo Jun Kyung, a successful OB-GYN who appears to have an ideal life, but quietly struggles with profound loneliness beneath the surface.

In earlier episodes, Jun Kyung and Ju Do Hyun, played by Chang Ryul, carefully built their relationship while acknowledging each other’s emotional wounds. As their bond deepened, Jun Kyung accepted Do Hyun’s son Daniel into her life, and the couple began to envision a future together. Their plans, however, were shaken when they learned that Do Hyun was infertile.

For the sake of Daniel, Do Hyun chose to forgo a DNA test and pretended that nothing was amiss, a decision Jun Kyung initially promised to respect. Tensions escalated when Do Hyun’s ex-girlfriend Im Yoon Ju reacted angrily to news of his impending marriage and deliberately provoked Jun Kyung by bringing up Daniel. Under mounting pressure, Jun Kyung ultimately broke her promise and questioned whether Daniel was truly Do Hyun’s biological son.

The newly released stills from the final episodes depict the aftermath of that broken trust. After receiving the DNA test results, Do Hyun is visibly shaken and lashes out at Jun Kyung in pain and disbelief. In another scene, the two sit facing each other in silence, their sorrowful expressions underscoring the uncertainty of their relationship’s future. Jun Kyung’s vulnerable confession, expressing her wish to be held onto, heightens the emotional weight of their confrontation.

According to the production team, the finale will focus on the emotions contained in the characters’ gazes as they face each other after the truth is revealed, ultimately determining what kind of ending awaits them. The final two episodes of “Love Me” will air back-to-back on January 23.
