tvN’s new comedy series “Undercover Miss Hong,” set in the late 1990s, has drawn attention for its refreshing premise and compelling cast. Park Shin Hye stars as Hong Geum Bo, a highly skilled financial supervisory officer in her 30s who goes undercover as a 20-something rookie employee at a securities firm suspected of illegal financial activity. The stark contrast between her real age, assumed identity, and internal conflict adds depth to the character and drives the narrative forward.

The upcoming third episode marks a major turning point in the story. Hong Geum Bo is forced to confront the person she has been most desperate to avoid—her ex-boyfriend Shin Jung Woo, played by Ko Kyung Pyo. Recently appointed as the new CEO of Hanmin Securities, Shin Jung Woo’s presence immediately places Hong Geum Bo’s undercover mission in serious jeopardy. Having not seen each other for nine years, their unexpected reunion brings unresolved emotions and professional danger into the same space.

Newly released stills show Hong Geum Bo standing alone in a meeting room, facing the company’s top executives. During her job interview, she made a strong first impression by pointing out an error in the company’s entrance exam. However, instead of keeping a low profile afterward, she once again draws attention by excelling at work—doing exactly what she should not be doing during a covert operation.

As a result, Hong Geum Bo is summoned to a meeting with senior management, including Shin Jung Woo himself. Anxious that her true identity may be exposed, she struggles to maintain her cover. Meanwhile, Shin Jung Woo is visibly unsettled by the existence of a young employee named Hong Jang Mi who bears an uncanny resemblance to someone from his past.

The tension escalates further when a single remark made by Hong Geum Bo in an attempt to fix the situation only worsens it, sending events spiraling out of her control. Whether she can successfully conceal her identity and survive this crisis remains uncertain, heightening anticipation for what comes next. Episode three of “Undercover Miss Hong” will air on January 24 at 9:10 p.m. KST, promising a pivotal chapter in the unfolding story.
