The wedding plans of Hong Kong actor Yin Tze-Wei and mainland Chinese actress Xu Dongdong have recently drawn public attention after a sudden change in arrangements. The couple, who had originally planned to host a wedding banquet in Harbin this February, announced that the event would be scaled down to a private gathering with close family and friends due to the serious illness of Xu Dongdong’s close relative.

Xu Dongdong, 35, and Yin Tze-Wei have been in a relationship for several years. The two first met in 2018 while working on the film Contractual Relationship, and although their relationship experienced ups and downs, they continued to find their way back to each other. Yin has openly expressed his affection for Xu on social media over the years, earning the couple a reputation for sincerity and openness.

Yin Tze-Wei was the first to explain the adjustment publicly, stating that the decision was made after careful discussion in light of the family situation. Xu Dongdong soon shared his statement and added that the timing of the wedding would depend on her relative’s recovery. She also emphasized that they would not be accepting monetary gifts or presents from family or friends.

Following the announcement, Xu reiterated her stance through multiple posts, making it clear that the decision to decline gifts was mutual. Many netizens expressed support, noting that the couple appeared to prioritize emotional well-being and family circumstances over ceremonial grandeur.

Xu Dongdong later shared a video documenting her visit to a relative, whom she identified as her father’s older brother. She explained that she had grown up in his home and regarded him as a second father. Her words reflected a deep emotional bond, helping the public better understand the gravity of the situation behind the wedding changes.

She also mentioned plans to give fans beverages from a brand she has endorsed for many years, taking the opportunity to reflect on a 15-year partnership that began before she rose to fame. Xu expressed gratitude toward the brand for recognizing her early on, describing herself as fortunate to have encountered such long-term support.

Amid the discussion, some online speculation emerged regarding a possible pregnancy, though neither Xu Dongdong nor Yin Tze-Wei has addressed these rumors. For now, such talk remains unconfirmed. Many fans have instead focused on offering well wishes, hoping the couple can move forward with peace of mind.

In a recent appearance in a friend’s video, Xu described Yin as a true gentleman who treats both her and those around him with kindness. Yin, in turn, spoke about the contrast between Xu’s outward image and her inner personality. Their mutual appreciation offered insight into the foundation of their long-standing relationship—one built on honesty and respect as they prepare to enter a new chapter together.
