tvN has officially confirmed the main cast for its upcoming music-themed drama “Four Hands” (literal title), featuring Song Kang, Lee Jun Young, and Jang Gyuri. Named after a piano technique in which two performers play on a single piano together, the drama follows the friendship, love, rivalry, and personal growth of young people who meet at an arts high school and continue their journey into adulthood as professional pianists.

Song Kang stars as Kang Bi Oh, a piano prodigy known for his perfectionism and refined appearance. Excelling in both academics and piano performance, Kang Bi Oh combines natural talent with relentless discipline, never allowing himself to fall behind in practice. Once praised as a rising star expected to dominate the world’s three major piano competitions, his seemingly flawless path is suddenly shaken when he encounters a rival who turns his musical world upside down.

Lee Jun Young plays Choi Jeong Yo, Kang Bi Oh’s rival and a fellow piano genius. Shaped by a harsh upbringing, Choi Jeong Yo has spent much of his life turning away from his own talent. When he unexpectedly appears at Korea Arts High School—a place said to be filled exclusively with geniuses—he crosses paths with the piano prodigy who once had a profound influence on him, awakening complex and lingering emotions tied to his musical gift.

Jang Gyuri takes on the role of Hong Jae In, a viola major blessed with exceptionally sensitive hearing. With remarkable musical instincts that allow her to grasp beautiful melodies instantly, Hong Jae In is constantly searching for music that truly satisfies her ears—a challenge that proves far from easy. As a result, she becomes a close friend to Kang Bi Oh, supporting and cherishing him, as his music has been the only sound to fully resonate with her since childhood.

Through its focus on music and youth, “Four Hands” is set to portray the emotional and artistic journeys of young musicians as they navigate competition and companionship. The drama is scheduled to premiere in the second half of 2026.
