JTBC has confirmed that its new Friday drama “Shining” (literal title) will premiere on March 6 at 8:50 p.m. KST, along with the release of its first official poster. The series is directed by Kim Yoon Jin of “Our Beloved Summer” and written by Lee Sook Yeon of “A Piece of Your Mind,” and it tells the story of young people who once shared a world of their own and gradually become each other’s source of trust and guiding light in life.

Park Jinyoung stars as Yeon Tae Seo, a train conductor who views the world with clear-eyed realism. After achieving the independence he had long wanted and settling into a steady routine, he reunites with Mo Eun Ah, his first love from when he was 19. Kim Min Ju plays Mo Eun Ah, a warm and emotionally rich character known for her enthusiastic and charming personality. She is a former hotelier who now works as a manager at a traditional-style stay in Seoul.
The newly released poster offers a glimpse of the youthful and gentle chemistry between the two characters. Sitting side by side with their backs to the camera, Yeon Tae Seo and Mo Eun Ah are bathed in warm summer sunlight and surrounded by lush greenery, as if they have momentarily set aside their school days and are quietly taking in the peaceful neighborhood scenery. While Yeon Tae Seo appears to be looking down and Mo Eun Ah gazes into the distance, the caption “We were special” hints at the unique bond they share and raises curiosity about how their relationship will develop after their reunion.
With the premiere date now set, anticipation is growing not only for the story of reunion and growth, but also for the on-screen chemistry between Park Jinyoung and Kim Min Ju.
